AGENDA
MOTHERHOOD BETRAYED
By Jann Flury
Woman is the giver of life and a natural bond between a mother and her offspring develops from birth, if not before. Motherhood is the innate nurturing of a child with attentive maternal tenderness and affection. When a woman becomes a mother, she also becomes the pillar of the traditional family: the hub from which a caring society evolves and draws strength that gives it conscience and compassion. Mother is the most important person in the developing child's life, and remembered into adulthood when solace and inner strength are needed in dire moments: be it on the battlefield or at death's door. Thus, motherhood becomes the guiding light of a nation. That is the natural magnificence of motherhood.
Nefarious factions are vying for our children for self-serving reasons. In the eyes of the establishment, children have become a commodity – the human capital – and mothers are viewed and treated simply as the providers of that human capital: a concept espoused by communist regimes.
In his writings in the Boston Gay News on 15 Feb 87, Michael Swift, a homosexual activist, laid bare the homosexual agenda and made some unsettling predictions for the traditional family and heterosexual society.
Here, in part, is what he wrote: "We shall sodomize your sons, emblems of your feeble masculinity, of your shallow dreams and vulgar lies. ... All laws banning homosexual activity will be revoked. Instead legislation shall be passed which engenders love between men. ... The family unit, which only dampens imagination and curbs free will, must be eliminated, Perfect boys will be conceived and grown in genetic laboratory. They will be bonded together in communal setting, under the control and instruction of homosexual savants." Were Michael Swift's proclamations just a madman's dream? The success of the homosexual activists' agenda tells us otherwise.
Our modern high-tech society holds nothing sacrosanct. It is subverting motherhood and the natural family: destroying the last bastion of a sane society. The destruction is supported and advocated not only by homosexual activists like Michael Swift but also by commercial enterprises such as the fashion and cosmetics industries who want mothers to get jobs to increase their buying power. Academics and government social service institutions want to control the child (the human capital) from birth, for self-serving monetary gain and power. They set out to demean the role of motherhood, redefining it as common domestic labour. The official stand taken by the "experts" within the establishment is that mothers are not qualified to raise their own children, or to train them sufficiently well so they will reach their potential or meet the "stringent" new requirements for entry into kindergarten. Mothers are encouraged to seek employment outside the home and hand over their infants to state-run training facilities staffed by "experts" that will mold the future generation into "well informed, skilled and confident, citizens, able to work cooperatively and productively with a wide range of people." And the United Nations wants control of our children so it can create an egalitarian society around the world, marching in unison to its drummer.
Education researchers have concocted statistics from phoney studies, which show that stay-at-home mothers are hampering early childhood development. On the basis of one such report, put out by Statistics Canada, the federal government is enticing the provinces to kick in with matching finances to set up early learning centres across the country. And in the throne speech in early October of 1999, the Governor General announced that the federal government "will set out common principles, objectives and fiscal parameters for all governments to increase resources and further strengthen support for early childhood development."
"Early childhood development" in the eyes of bureaucrats and academics is just another catch phrase for Skinner-type behaviour modification or brainwashing to gain control. It is nothing new. American educrats, as well as ours, have been implementing it for some time through "Outcome Based Education." As far back as 1977, Washington, DC Associate Superintendent of Schools James T. Guines, went on record saying, "We know we can modify human behaviour. We're not scared of that. This is the biggest thing that's happening in education today." Today, the governments see an opportunity to speed up the process of indoctrinating our pre-schoolers. They use the pretext that mother is no longer a competent custodian of the child, and that she is no substitute for early childhood learning centres as advocated by Dr. Fraser Mustard in a recent study, and who supports the notion that a child should be taken away from the family and educated to the macrocosm in the "global family" from birth to avoid the development of an egocentric mind set, as Robert Muller proposed in his World Core Curriculum.
Motherhood is being maligned and parental authority undermined by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the recent studies on early childhood development, all of which are, in turn, promoted by our federal government agencies, staffed by compliant UN lackeys. Mothers have been enticed, badgered, and seduced into leaving the home to seek career opportunities for years. The benefits derived from the mother working is monetary, which is ultimately reaped by commercial enterprises at the expense of motherhood. Consequently, the family suffers and society is short changed over the long run. With so much pressure from all sides, it is no wonder mothers abandon their natural and most important duties of child nurturing for the sake of a career. And it is no wonder that broken homes and chaos within the family ensue.
Of course, state run child-rearing institutions with all their "early-childhood-development experts," will never be able to synthesize the natural mother's maternal loving tenderness and understanding, which is so necessary for the meaningful attachment and bonding that a child needs for healthy psychological development in the early years. If the state and the UN have their way, isolating the child from its mother, we can look forward to a generation of detached, apathetic individuals with no moral conscience and no perception of right or wrong. We have a problem with substance abuse, suicide, and crime now, and it will surely rise under such an Orwellian regime. If we hand over the stewardship of our children to the state, the intrinsic value of the "human capital" will most certainly be lost, and the family and society destroyed. The plan is a crass betrayal of motherhood.
